Everyone buys domains in today’s market. Whether they pay $10 at GoDaddy for IGotThisNameRightHere.com or $5 Million at TRAFFIC auction for Candy.com, each buyer and seller have a market to target and benefit from.

Today’s strongest names come from search terms and common phrases. Essential elements include what people are searching for, what they like to refer to things as, and how often a term appears in URLs, sentences, phrases and in reference. Great phrases that may not have lots of search traffic but high value include Plot.Me, Dreamscapes.com, or Prepress.org. Terms with high search volume will look different, such as DivorceDocuments.com, CdStorage.com or BehavioralFinance.com. Not included in such lists are Geos like Peekskill.net, colors like OliveBrown.com or brandables such as Boodle.com.

To each his own however. Some sellers focus purely on one type of category and some buyers will only purchase brandables. Most important of this elements is that the search for good names continues. Buyers have more resources than ever for finding good names, most of which can be purchased for under $10,000.
